Richard Short

Richard Ian Porterfield Short is an English actor based in Los Angeles. Currently appearing in the ABC television show "666 Park Avenue" as 'Harlan Moore'. Prior to that, wrapped on both "The Butterflies of Bill Baker" and "A New York Love Story", two independent films shot in New York City. Within the last year he also appeared in the FX Network show "American Horror Story" directed by 'Miguel Arteta' as well as the feature film "The Exhibitionists" for director Michael Melamedoff, playing 'Walter Todd', to be released soon. Prior to that spent most of 2011 as a member of the Broadway company of Jez Butterworths's Jerusalem at the Music Box Theatre.
He began acting with the Woking Youth Theatre in Woking, Surrey in 1992, and made his professional stage debut in the original UK cast of Grease in 1996. His first American film was Delirious, directed by Tom DiCillo, in 2007. That same year also saw Short make his American TV debut on Law & Order: Criminal Intent in the episode "Privilege." In 2009, he appeared in the big-budget crime drama Public Enemies, directed by Michael Mann. Short also appeared opposite Kevin Pollak in the 2011 film Choose and the HBO series Bored to Death with Jason Schwartzman.
